The Food Just Kept Coming!

Last night, several students and a fellow teacher (Cassy) and my wife (Brigitte) went out to eat at a Japanese restaurant in the East Village. When we sat down and started looking at the menus, I instantly felt overwhelmed: so many different things to choose from! I think many Americans (including myself) like the idea of ordering lots of small dishes and sharing them with friends, but we are not used to this. Normally, we choose an appetizer and an entree, and we don't share (unless someone wants a taste...just to try what you ordered). I definitely prefer the Japanese way! You get to try a greater variety of dishes and, most importantly, it creates a lively and intimate atmosphere among friends.
